After the rather annoying visit to Aachen West I decided to go back to Oberhausen Osterfeld Sud as the visit earlier in the week had been quite busy. Another very enjoyable session was had, and in 5 1/2 hours I'd noted 44 freights and 13 light locos. The period from 14:30 to 15:50 was of particular interest as it produced 12 freights with 9 different types of loco, 10 different operators, and all 12 locos carrying different liveries
I found a slightly better position for photos than earlier in the week, with a bit less plant life to contend with! The spot I had was also quite close to the nearest running line as you can see from some of the photos, if you ever go here just be careful not to have a lapse in concentration as some of the trains can sneak up rather quickly! |
